Protect
Shopify chargeback managementand payments that keep selling.
Shopify chargeback management means preventing disputes, answering the ones that come and keeping your payment accounts healthy. Developly sets up and manages your own processing accounts, rescues a frozen or held account, and fights chargebacks, with two senior people. We are not a payment processor, and no one can guarantee a reinstatement or a dispute win.
The work
What does Shopify payments and chargeback management cover?Four jobs.
Set up the processing, rescue it when it breaks, fight the disputes, and find the money lost in fees and declines.
Sets up payment processing
Shopify Payments, PayPal and a backup gateway, so a payout hold on one does not have to stop sales. For a new or higher-risk store we prepare the identity and business documents so the application is as strong as we can make it. The processor decides approval. We add the local methods your buyers expect: TWINT for Switzerland, iDEAL for the Netherlands, Bancontact for Belgium, Tabby and Tamara instalments for the UAE, plus Apple Pay and Google Pay. And we set a card-statement name buyers recognise.
Rescues a frozen or held account
Frozen account, held payouts, a reserve, a PayPal hold. We prepare the appeal file and set up a backup gateway, so the store can keep selling while the processor reviews.
Fights chargebacks and fraud
Pre-dispute alerts through a dispute-tool partner, and evidence answers to the disputes that arrive. Fraud rules hold or cancel risky orders before they ship. We cut “item not received” claims with tracking emails, proof of delivery and a clear refund policy. Each month we watch your chargeback rate against the card networks’ monitoring-programme thresholds.
Finds the money in payments
We look at payment conversion at checkout: declines, failed payments, the order of payment methods and the extra authentication step. A fee audit covers processing fees, currency conversion fees and Shopify’s extra fee for third-party gateways. You get a monthly payments report with payouts, disputes won and lost, fees and holds.
Account on hold
What do we do when a Shopify payments account is on hold?Help the store keep selling.
A hold is a payment problem and a sales problem. We treat both.
One processor is one point of failure
When all sales run through a single account, a hold or a freeze stops the store. A second and third route can make a problem with one an inconvenience rather than an outage.
Approval is mostly paperwork
Refusals and later reviews often trace back to documents that do not match, a vague business description or a statement name buyers do not recognise. We prepare those before the application, not after the hold.
The appeal file is the work
A processor reads what you send. We assemble the business facts, order and delivery records and fix plan into one clear file, in the processor’s own terms.
Keep selling meanwhile
While an appeal is open, a backup gateway can keep taking orders, so the store does not have to wait for a decision it does not control.
What we do not do
We do not act as your payment processor, and we never hold your funds. The accounts are yours and the money goes to them. We do not guarantee that an account is reinstated or that a dispute is won. We do not give legal or tax advice. Client work is under NDA, and there are no results to quote for this service yet, so none are quoted.

Questions
Before you write:six things buyers ask first.
Plain answers on scope, money and what is and is not promised.
- What is Shopify chargeback management?
- It is the ongoing work of preventing, answering and tracking chargebacks on a Shopify store. That means pre-dispute alerts, evidence for each dispute, fraud rules before shipping, fewer “item not received” claims, and a monthly watch of your chargeback rate.
- Do you process payments or hold our money?
- No. Developly is not a payment processor and never holds funds. We set up and manage your own accounts. The money goes straight to them, and the accounts stay in your name.
- What can you do when my Shopify Payments account is on hold?
- We review why the hold was placed, prepare the appeal file and set up a backup gateway so the store can keep selling. We then follow up on what the processor asks for. No one can promise a decision, and we do not.
- Can you guarantee my account is reinstated or a dispute is won?
- No. The processor or the card issuer makes that call. What we do is prepare the strongest file we can, and set up a backup gateway so the store can keep selling while it is decided.
- Which payment methods can you set up?
- Shopify Payments, PayPal and a backup gateway, plus local methods by market: TWINT for Switzerland, iDEAL for the Netherlands, Bancontact for Belgium, Tabby and Tamara instalments for the UAE, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Which ones fit depends on where you sell.
- Where should I start?
- With the Payments Audit if the store runs but you suspect leaks, or Account Rescue if money is held now. The audit is written, takes five days and ranks the fixes. Every engagement is scoped in writing first, with what is and is not included.
