CRO
A Shopify CRO agencythat tests, then hands it over.
A Shopify CRO agency finds where your store loses buyers, fixes what is broken, tests the changes that are a real question and ships the winners. Developly does that with two senior people, and you keep the code, the experiment log and the numbers.
The work
What does a Shopify CRO agency do?Four steps, in this order.
Fix first, test second. Testing something that is simply broken wastes the traffic you need for the questions that are still open.
Finds where the store loses buyers
Session review and funnel research on your own store: where visitors stop, on which device, at which step. The list comes from what people do, not from a template.
Fixes what is plainly broken first
A slow product page or a buy button below the fold does not need a test. It needs fixing. On one store a theme rebuild took the JavaScript from 2.4 MB to 310 KB and the largest contentful paint from 4.1s to 1.2s.
Tests the changes that are a real question
Where the answer is not obvious, the change goes into an A/B test with one number deciding it, so the result is a measurement rather than an opinion.
Builds, checks and ships the winner
The people who design the test build it in the theme and check it on a phone. A winner goes to all traffic. A loser is logged and dropped.
Testing
How do we run an A/B test?So the result means something.
Four rules, set before the first visitor is split.
One change, one number
Each test changes one thing and is judged on one primary metric, such as add-to-cart rate on a product page. Two changes in one variant tell you the bundle works and nothing about which half did it.
Sample size before launch
We work out how many visitors each version needs before anything goes live. If your traffic would take months to get there, we say so, then test a bigger change or ship the fix without a test.
Whole weeks, no early call
The run length is fixed in advance and rounded up to whole weeks so every weekday is counted equally. A test is not stopped because one side is ahead on a Tuesday.
Winner to 100%, result logged
The winning version goes to all traffic and the result goes in the experiment log: wins, flats and losses alike. The log is how the next test gets chosen.
What a result looks like
We tested showing the shipping cost on the product page against showing it only at checkout. Each side had 24,105 sessions. The checkout version took 265 orders and the product-page version took 578, a +118% lift in conversion. A separate test on a sticky buy box won +31%. Client work is under NDA, so there is no name to give you, only the numbers.
Handover
What do you keep? The work, and the record of it.
If you stop, the code and the experiment log stay with you.
The code, in your repo
Every test and fix is built in your theme, and the repo is handed over.
The experiment log
What was tested, the numbers for each side and what was decided.
A monthly readout
What shipped, what it did to revenue and what is next on the roadmap.
Documentation of every change
So the next developer, or you, can see what was changed and why.

Where does a CRO engagement begin? With a written teardown.
The Teardown finds the fixes. The Sprint ships them. The retainer keeps testing.

Questions
Before you write:six things buyers ask first.
Plain answers on scope, traffic and what is and is not promised.
- What does a Shopify CRO agency do?
- It finds where a store loses buyers, fixes what is plainly broken, tests the changes that are a real question, and ships the winners. The work is measured against revenue, not against a design opinion.
- How is a CRO agency different from a Shopify developer?
- A developer builds what you specify. A CRO agency decides what is worth building from your own data, builds it, measures it and keeps a record. We do both halves, so the tests we design are ones we can ship.
- How much traffic do I need to run A/B tests?
- Enough that a test can finish in a few weeks. The CRO retainer excludes tests on low traffic, because a test that cannot reach its sample size cannot tell you anything. Below that, we fix what the research shows and compare before and after instead.
- Do you guarantee a conversion increase?
- No. Neither the Conversion Sprint nor the CRO retainer promises an increase or a minimum number of wins. What you get is the process: a visible test roadmap, tests built and checked properly, and the real numbers, including the tests that lose.
- Where should I start?
- With the Store Teardown. It is a written audit of your store’s conversion path and AI visibility, with five fixes ranked by revenue impact, delivered in five days. The fee is credited in full if you start an engagement within thirty days. The Conversion Sprint then ships the top fixes in fourteen days.
- How long does a CRO retainer last?
- A three-month initial term, then rolling, with thirty days’ written notice from either side. It is billed monthly in advance, and the scope is agreed in writing before you sign.
